Happy to report, I recently encountered Marty’s poems. Can’t remember how but I went from poem to poem. Can’t wait to hear the interview you posted. I’m a severely chronically ill & disabled poet and her writing entered me in an embodied way.

I'm so happy to hear that, Lisa. Her poems towards the end of her life had so much energy as she knew she was leaving us--some of her best work. She is so missed in her words and her light.

SO glad Ireland is doing its healing work! I head there on Friday. Maybe the universe will let me cross your puffin path.

Thanks again for offering us the interview by Jessica Gigot of Marty. We all need to hear Marty 's voice and then meditate on life and it's brevity.

Yes. The interview was right before things went very south. I knew how exhausted she was through the illness. I'm so glad Jessica got that on tape--such a gift!

Beautiful tribute! You have all, including Martha inspired me to share my writing with others to step into my calling in the world. I am meant to answer to that calling. Thank you for sharing all of the stories, the wisdom, the bitter and the sweet of life. Continuing to send healing, kind thoughts.

That is wonderful, Andrea. Marty wants more poems in the world--that was always her. Keep writing. xo

Thought of the interview you and she did for Tinderbox, when I heard of her passing. Keeping you in my thoughts. Thank you for sharing this grief tinged post with us so openly. <3

Thank you so much for sharing this! My dear heart aches reading "Thanks for being such a huge fan of my work all these years, Kelli. I honestly don’t know if I would have kept writing if not for friends like you on the sidelines cheering me on..." --we were always each others' cheerleaders. Thank you, Sarah. HUGE loss to everyone. xo
